The Auditions Will Take Place In Sub-Bruka In Groups Of Five. There are stairs or we can arrange to get you to the elevator.
Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to audition call time. Come to Bruka Theatre’s side door on First Street. Doors will open for auditioners at 5:00 PM.
SEASON AUDITIONS FOR BRUKA THEATRE’S 31ST SEASON
Reno, NV - Monday, August 28, 2023 from 5:15 PM to 8:00 PM. (Time May Be Extended to Allow For Sign-Ups) Bruka Theatre will hold open auditions for the 31st Season (Thirty Wonderful - The Show Must Go On). We hope you will come to the theater and share your talent with Bruka Theatre and our community.

The day of the audition: please enter Bruka Theatre from the side-door entrance located in downtown Reno on First Street. The waiting area is upstairs. We suggest you arrive 15 minutes before your audition. You will be ushered downstairs at your scheduled time. We want to utilize your time the best we can, so please check in at least ten minutes before your scheduled audition time. If you have not signed up for a slot, you may sign up on the evening of the audition if there are any openings.
Actors will be seen by the directors and company of this season's productions in groups of five. Please prepare one contemporary monologue. The maximum time is one minute total for each audition. Reminder - You will be timed and stopped at one minute. Please dress appropriately - and please no flip-flops! Please bring your current resume and a photo. Directors will be allowed to ask up to three questions if desired of the auditioners. This season at Bruka we are celebrating diversity in all its beauty.
You will be auditioning for our 2023/24 shows scheduled October 2023 - July 2024. Callbacks will be held at a later date. LOCATION: Brüka Theatre is located at 99 N. Virginia Street at the corner of First and Virginia Streets in downtown Reno next to the Virginia Street Bridge.
PARKING: We suggest convenient parking in the Court Street parking lot across from The Pioneer Theater and walking across the new Virginia Street Bridge to Brüka, FREE after 5:00 PM and all day Saturday and Sundays We also validate parking at the Parking Gallery on First and Sierra Street. Please enter through the side door on First Street up to 15 minutes before the audition time.

SIDE SHOW (Musical) - The Search For Love & Acceptance Amidst The Spectacle Of Fame. This is the 2014 revival show. Book and Lyrics by Bill Russell Music by Henry Krieger, Directed by John Paul Rivard with Music Direction by JoAnne Neish. Performing: June - July 2024.
ABOUT BRUKA THEATRE Now celebrating its 31st season in downtown Reno. Bruka Theatre is a leader in the region, recognized for its innovative productions, exceptionally talented artists and acclaimed Theatre for Children series since its founding in 1992. VIDEO SUBMISSIONS - BRUKA THEATRE IS ALSO ACCEPTING VIDEO SUBMISSIONS: 8/20/23 - 9/1/23 Actors will be notified if they are called back by individual directors through the season or for specific projects. Submissions to be made to: brukaproduction@gmail.com. They will be shared with our directors for upcoming shows. They will NOT be publicized. Please consult our dates www.bruka.org. Please prepare a one minute Comedic or Dramatic monologue. If auditioning for Side Show (In person auditions will be held in early 2024) please record 16 bars of singing in addition to your monologue.
